Scentfully Addictive Review

Okay, so one thing I am obsessed with is Tarts. (no not the food) Wax Melts!!

If you have no idea what I am talking about when I say that, Let me show you.

These are awesome! I personally have 2 of these that plug directly into the wall (I have the pumpkin, isn't it cute!!) and a hot plate style burner. They also have the tea light candle burners but, I do NOT like candles. At all. Whatsoever. Just No! Also, I am not good with fire, ask anyone. Trust me. (Thats a story for another day) I have also tried pretty much every wax brand under the sun from tons of different vendors.

My mom first introduced me to all of these vendors online that make and sell their wax melts on etsy and off of their facebook pages. After using the Better Homes and Gardens tarts from Walmart, I thought it was time for a change. So I started searching around for different vendors for the scents I like. You can pretty much find a tart that smells like anything. I personally like fruit scents and bakery style scents but I was on the search for a coffee scent. I dont drink coffee but I love the scent. After searching and trying new vendors, nothing really stuck. I was searching randomly one day and stumbled across the scent "Starbucks Coffee" I WAS SOLD

The name of the store was Scentfully Addictive and boy are they right. I placed my first order for a few small tart cups in the scents Starbucks Coffee, Maple Pancakes, Zombie Punch, Jamaica Me Crazy, and Cinnamon Buns. The rest are pretty much self explainatory, but Zombie Punch is a lemon lime citrus blend and Jamaica Me Crazy smells like a citrusy beach.

When I recieved my order, I opened the envelope to the most amazing smell ever, but was shocked to find that they had sent me 2 of each scents instead of just the one I ordered. DOUBLE BONUS!! I am going to post a picture of the cups they are in, but most of mine at this point are gone. So I apologize for that. The Jamaica Me Crazy had little wax berries on it as a decoration and it was cute as could be.

The first one I immediately put in my burner was of course, Starbucks Coffee. If you have ever been to Starbucks, you know they have a very distinct smell and oh my goodness, this tart smelled EXACTLY the same and when I say exactly I mean exactly. I could smell it throughout my entire house and even on my back porch with the screen open. That is impressive.

I have since 85 percent of the tarts that I purchased and could not be more pleased. I would recommend this company to ANYONE and definately think you should give them a try. Their prices are very reasonable and they have awesome customer service. If that isn't awesome enough, they also do collections like, The Wizard of Oz and The Hunks (Scents based of celebrity men...Luke Bryan...hello...).

Now for the big surprise....GIVEAWAY TIME!!! Scentfully Addictive is giving one lucky blog reader a $10 dollar gift certificate!

Taco Stuffed Shells Recipe

Hey Ya'll!

Today's blog post is going to be a delicious new recipe I tried last night. Taco Stuffed Shells! Yum!

Things you will need:
1 box Large Pasta Shells
Ground Beef
1 Bag Mexican Blend Cheese
1 Tomato
1 can of Olives
Green Onions
Cilantro
1 pouch Old El Paso's Roasted Tomato Cooking Sauce
Lettuce and Sour Cream to Top

If you will notice I did not put amounts on a few things because that will depend on how much you want to make. I hardly ever measure anything, I just add to taste.

First: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees

Then, brown your ground beef and after drain all the grease.
While that is set aside, go ahead and start cooking your large pasta shells (we used one box for a whole pan and extra)
Next, drain your shells and run under cold water
After that, in a baking sheet (we used disposable for easy clean up) line up the shells and get ready to prepare the filling.
Add your ground beef back to the pan you browned it in and put on medium heat. Then add your pouch of roasted tomato cooking sauce and a little of the mexican blend cheese and stir until it thickens and chop half of your tomato and add as well.

Then, stuff a little bit of your ground beef mixture in each shell.
After you have all of them stuffed, top with remaining cheese, tomato, olives, cliantro, and green onions.
Bake at 350 for about 20-25 minutes.
Top with lettuce and sour cream.

We served ours with a small salad and italian herb bread.

It wasn't necessarily a quick and easy meal, but it was pretty darn good. You can basically add or top with anything you could possibly want. Perfect for date night, family dinner, or even a meal by yourself.

I hope you enjoy it!!

ALSO the winner of our previous monogrammed towel giveaway is......

STEPHANIE M.!!!
Congratulations and be sure and email me your info so we can get this made for ya!!

I hope ya'll have a great wednesday and I apologize for the no post on Monday, I am still getting the hang of this.

We also still need pictures for Fan Photo Friday, so keep those coming!!

Favorites and Fan Photo Fridays?

Hey Ya'll

So while I am tinkering around with the blog ideas and what to do, I decided to post some things I have been loving lately and maybe for all my pet lovers out there...some things that Mo has been loving too. Maybe Favorite Fridays will become a thing? who knows!!

So my favorites this week have been a little scattered across the board from foods to tv to everything in between.

Favorite TV show:
Friday Night Lights
In all honestly, I fell in love with this show so fast and binge watched the series, I started from season 1 again right after finishing it! If you are a football fan, you will love it. If you hate football, you will love it. The football scenes are so well done and the whole show is so detailed. I'll tell ya, as much as I love Tennessee, I wanted to live in Dillon, Texas after watching this. You can catch the whole series on Netflix now. (sorry in advance for the lack of everything else you neglect in your life, once you start watching...you can't stop)

Favorite Clothing Item:
NorthFace Women's Venture Rain Jacket
We can thank the crazy TN weather for this one. I am not going to complain about our much needed rain but I hate the rain one minute, sunshine the next, then a tornado type of rain. I have had this jacket for 2 or 3 years now and I searched for ever to find it. I have this color as well which is not as fisherman like as it looks in the picture. It is lightweight and I honestly think it folds into a pouch or something because there are so many pockets and zippers on this thing its not even crazy. I adore this jacket.

Favorite Food:
Froot Loops with Marshmallows.
Hello, My name is Taylor and I am a cereal addict. Seriously, I could live off of cereal for months and be A okay. However, before you judge me on this, read the box "Its a good source of vitamin D" (I'm sorry. I try to make myself feel better about eating a whole box.) It is the perfect quick little snack though.

Favorite Song:
Chase Rice-Ready Set Roll
I heard it once, and I was in love from then on out. Of course I am obsessed with my country music anyway, but this is a great upbeat, summery, and just have fun song. Its a great sing along too!

Favorite Miscellaneous Item:
Pet Portrait By Brianne's Abstract Pet Portraits.
https://www.facebook.com/briannespetportraits

I mean all of my dog lovers out there will just love this one! Can you believe this! She does an amazing job and was so easy to work with. In each portrait she does, she hides your pets name somewhere in it. It was so fun to get this in the mail and it now proudly hangs on my wall...Am I MoDizzle obsessed or what?

Mo's Favorites:
Mo doesn't like toys, he doesn't like to play, the key to his heart is definitely through food. He is a pig. He will eat almost anything you give him but you can surely tell when something is a hit or miss in his book.

Mo's Favorite Food of the Moment:
Kibbles n' Bits American Grill

He will eat this like crazy! If you have not seen the commercial for this, you are missing out! It is so cute and well done, and I am a huge sucker for advertisement. Well done Kibbles n' Bits. You definitely knocked this one out of the park. Steak, Cheese, Carrots and Green Beans? Mo is one happy pup.

Mo's Favorite Treat of the Moment:
Canine Carryouts Beef Flavor
*Caution*
Will cause dogs to beg uncontrollably
and
Annoy you until you give in
In all seriousness, Mo would eat as many of these as I would give him because they are soft and easy for him to eat. One big thing for Chinese Cresteds is tooth loss at a young age so anything he can eat easily and enjoy is an A+ in my book.

Well, thats it for this week!

Review: Brother PE500 Embroidery Machine

Hey Ya'll

Wow. First blog post down and 178 views!! I could not ask for more!

Today is going to be an out-of-the-box review! If you read my first post with my 25 random facts about me, you know I love all things monogrammed. I would monogram every article of clothing I had if I could. Buying monogrammed items can get expensive, especially if you want something different and out of the box. Well, for Christmas my parents decided to feed my obsession and purchase me the Brother PE500 embroidery machine so I could do it myself. I was so excited and I thought then that I had died and gone to Monogram Heaven. Before I get on to my review, keep reading for a hidden monogrammed towel giveaway at the bottom...

So this is the Brother PE500 Embroidery Machine..

It retails for around $268.00
It comes with a 4x4 hoop and includes over 70 designs and 5 fonts.
It also connects to your computer for easy design import.

Okay, now that I have the ever so boring details out of the way, let me give you my honest opinion.

First Impression: Holy Cow, there is a lot of stuff in here. In the box you get pretty much everything you would need to just open it up and start embroidering. HUGE PLUS. I hate buying one thing and having to buy 500 other things just to get started. Included is thread, stabilizer, needles galore, and tons of other miscellaneous items.

Being a newbie when it came to embroidering, I glanced over the instructions and it seemed easy enough so I basically just popped in some fabric and had a few test runs.

I added the hoop and stabilizer, and tried one simple design from the ones that were built into the machine and they all worked without a hitch.

In my opinion, the built-in designs are a little outdated. Mostly things you would see embroidered on Great Grandma's pillow. It does give you a Brother endorsed website Ibroidery to purchase additional designs, but they are older, more outdated things as well. Tweety Bird was there..The 90's called. they want their designs back.

After I test the designs and they worked, I decided to try some monogramming. I did have to purchase my own monogramming alphabet, because the fonts included will only get about an 1.5 inches high even though they are in a 4x4 hoop. They are so small I can't even take it. I'll post a picture below of the design on a pair of pajama pants next to a quarter..
Really? SO small.

After I purchased my separate alphabet, I was VERY pleased with the result. I embroidered two pair of shorts for the summer and I instantly was hooked.

Now, don't be fooled. This machine has tons of options for designs, not just monograms. I have done numerous towels with designs I have purchased online, and customized them for others.

I have monogrammed blankets for my friends baby, scarves, shorts, pants, pocket tees, hats, baseball bat bags, purses, and towels. I have found so many awesome designs featuring anything you could ever want, dogs, cats, flowers, birds, houses, names, etc..

On to the Pros and Cons:

Pros:
Easy to use
Includes a lot of extras and accessories
Easy to connect to computer
Pretty fast at doing designs
Very tight and professional looking when finished

Cons:
Hoop is very small
Built-in Designs very outdated
Built-in Fonts very very very very small
All the good designs you have to buy (Prices range from free-$6-7 from what I have found)

Overall, I love my machine and wouldn't trade it for anything. I have no problem buying the designs I want because I know they are things I will use. I have used my monogram font I purchased so many times and it was only $2 for the entire thing. I do wished I could do a few bigger designs, but this is the perfect beginners machine and for non-commercial use. I would definitely repurchase or encourage my friends and family to purchase this product.

On to the giveaway!!
I am so excited for this. 1 winner will win a custom monogrammed towel, handmade by yours truly!
